Part I. Tamil Language Eligibility Test

TNUSRB SI Exam Preparation Tips 2023

You may prepare for the 2023 Tamil Nadu USRB SI Exam by following the instructions below:

The written test is the first stage of the TNUSRB Police Exam for Sub-Inspector posts. The written exam is divided into two sections: one for general studies and another for psychological abilities. However, the exam patterns for Open Quota and Departmental Quota candidates are different.

TNUSRB Police Constable Exam Pattern

For the Constable, Jail Warder, and Fireman recruitment, the Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board follows a very basic structure/exam pattern, as previously mentioned.

 

For both men and women, and for all three positions, the test is given for a total of 80 points. In the written exam, you will be asked questions that will test your psychology as well as your general knowledge.

Note – The written examination will include questions in both English and Tamil.

TNUSRB Police Constable Physical Measurement Test Pattern

The written exam follows the above-mentioned format. If you pass the written exam, you must then pass the Physical Measurement Examination, which has the following requirements. Candidates will be named in a 1:5 ratio, which means that for every 5 vacancies, one candidate will be called for the PMT:

TNUSRB Police Constable Physical Endurance Test Pattern

Candidates who pass the PMT would be required to participate in an endurance test as the next step in the selection process. Those who fail this test will be disqualified from the competition, and those who pass will be required to take the Physical Efficiency Test. The following will be covered in the Endurance Test:

 
  • Men - 1500 meters run in 7 minutes
  • Women - 400 meters run in 2 minutes

Candidates who pass the endurance test would be required to take a physical performance test. This test will consist of three events, each with a minimum qualifying mark of 6 and two stars per event, with a maximum of 15 marks awarded for six stars. The following are additional case details:
